Tijuana, Baja California._ El Club Tijuana iniciará
este martes 3 de Marzo con la ronda de Semifinales de la COPA
MX-Clausura 2020, en la que recibirán la visita del CD Toluca en el
Estadio Caliente. Previo al encuentro ante los Diablos Rojos, el defensa
Jordan Silva destacó la importancia de iniciar bien en la lucha por el
boleto a la Final de este certamen.

“Estamos concentrados y hasta cierto punto ansiosos de traer buenos
resultados”, adelantó Jordan. “Si bien la diferencia en la Copa y Liga
es mucha, al final de cuentas el equipo trabajará para sumar de local, o
de visita entonces, vamos a enfrentar a un equipo fuerte y creo que lo
mejor que podemos hacer es sacar un buen resultado en casa”, agregó el
central de Tijuana.

Los Xoloitzcuintles cerraron la preparación para este cotejo con un
entrenamiento matutino en el Mictlán. “El vestidor está muy unido,
estmos muy ocupados en sacar resultados positvios, es evidente que hemos
jugado bien, nos ha faltado contundencia y temrinar las jugadas”,
comentó Silva.

El Club Tijuana arribó a la ronda de Semifinal tras eliminar al
Atlético San Luis en 8vos de Final y a Monarcas Morelia en 4tos de
Final. En tanto, el CD Toluca dejó atrás al Atlás en 8vos, y al Pachuca
CF en 4tos.

Xoloitzcuintles host CD Toluca in first leg

TIJUANA (March 2, 2020) -Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles begins the Copa
MX semifinals for the 2020 Clausura when it hosts CD Toluca Tuesday at
Estadio Caliente.

The first leg of the home-and-home series begins in Tijuana against the
Diablos Rojos. Defender Jordan Silva spoke about facing the team from
central Mexico in the post season series.

“We are very focused and to some extent we are anxious to get good
results,” Silva said during a news conference Tuesday at Estadio
Caliente. “There is a difference in the league and cup play but we are
working to play well at home or away. We are going to face a strong team
and the best thing we can do is get a good result at home.”

The Xoloitzcuintles closed out preparing for the first leg match with a
morning practice Monday.

“This is a united locker room and we are busy trying to get positive
results,” Silva said. “It’s obvious we have played well. We need to be
consistent and finish the plays.”

Club Tijuana reached the semifinals after beating San Luis in the Round
of 16 and eliminating Monarcas Morelia in the quarterfinals las week.
Toluca beat Atlas in the Round of 16 and Pachuca in the quarters.
