Cdmx._ El Club Tijuana finalizó con el marcador en
contra (3-1) ante el Club América en duelo de la fecha 3 en el Apertura
2019 de la LIGA MX, encuentro disputado este sábado en el Estadio
Azteca.

Un partido trabado se dio en el primer tiempo el cual terminó sin goles
y fue en la recta final del juego cuando se dieron las aproximaciones
más claras para ambas escuadras.

El mediocampista americanista Guido Rodríguez abrió el marcador en el
minuto 75, después de encontrarse un rebote fuera del área.

Los Xoloitzcuintles respondieron con el empate en el 82′, en una jugada
en la que Ariel Nahuelpán robó una pelota en la zona defensiva de las
Águilas para la llegada de Camilo Sanvezzo, quien marcó el 1-1 parcial.

En los últimos minutos, el América logró marcar por conducto de Renato
Ibarra (87′) y sobre el tiempo de descuento hicieron el 3-1 definitivo
por parte de Giovani Dos Santos.

Ahora los Xoloitzcuintles retornarán a la Frontera, para encarar la
siguiente jornada, en la que recibirán a Pumas de la UNAM el próximo
viernes 9 de Agosto en el Estadio Caliente.

Xoloitzcuintles allows second half goals in loss vs. Club America
America 3-1 Club Tijuana, LIGA MX 2019 Apertura Week 3

MEXICO CITY (Aug. 3, 2019) –Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles played to a
2-1 loss against host Club America Saturday at Estadio Azteca.

Camilo Sanvezzo scored for the Xoloitzcuintles but America answered
with two more in final minutes of the LIGA MX 2019 Apertura Week 3
match.

Guido Rodriguez, Renato Ibarra and Giovani Dos Santos scored for the
home side.

Rodriguez sent in the Club America goal in the 75th minute. He took a
shot that bounced off Club Tijuana’s Angel Sepulveda and fired it with a
one-timer, bending past Xoloitzcuintles goalkeeper Gibran Lajud from
about 25-yards out.

The Xoloitzcuintles tied the match 1-1 when Sanvezzo, a second half
substitute, took a ball from the top of the penalty box and sprinted
away. He left his mark behind and fired a right-footed blast off the
right post into the net, just out of the reach of America goalkeeper
Oscar Jimenez.

But Club America answered that goal with a Renato Ibarra tap into the
net. Ibarra took a low, rolling cross from Dos Santos and sent it in for
the America 2-1 lead. Dos Santos added his second of the night when he
broke through defenders and sprinted free and chipped the ball over
Lajud.

Club Tijuana came out with an offensive mentality to start the game.
Club Tijuana coach Oscar Pareja sent his lines up looking to pressure
early on. The strategy nearly worked early on. Camacho nearly scored off
an Ariel Nahuelpan blocked shot. Washington took the loose ball after
Jimenez made the save that came off a Miller Bolaños give-and-go play
with Nahuelpan four minutes into the match.

Club America nearly scored in the 6th minute when Nicolas Castillo
fired a right-footed shot off the right post with Lajud already beat.

The Xoloitzcuintles will return to Tijuana to begin preparing for a
LIGA MX Week 4 match against Pumas UNAM Friday Aug. 9 at Estadio
Caliente.
