CLUB TIJUANA 3-0 VERACRUZ: MARCADOR FINAL

Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente logró su segundo triunfo consecutivo en el
Estadio Caliente, tras superar a Tiburones Rojos de Veracruz (3-0), en
la séptima jornada de la LIGA MX-Clausura 2019, disputada este viernes
en el Estadio Caliente.

El encuentro inició con una acción desafortunada debido a una lesión de
Fabián Castillo, apenas al minuto 4 del encuentro. Sin embargo, el
planteamiento del DT Óscar Pareja no derivó, y los Canes Aztecas
propusieron un futbol ofensivo a lo largo del cotejo.

Los goles también se dieron desde temprano. En el minuto 7, el jugador
de Tiburones, Edson García fue expulsado por mano flagrante dentro del
área visitante, lo que propició el gol de penalti por conducto de
Gustavo Bou, quien definió el 1-0 al 9′.

En el mismo primer lapso, los Rojinegros buscaron hacer crecer la
ventaja, y consiguieron el 2-0 al 17′ por conducto de Miller Bolaños,
quien marcó el gol 700 en la historia del Club Tijuana en el balompié
Azteca.

En el complemento, en plena recta final del partido, el delantero
juvenil Daniel López se consagró como goleador en el máximo circuito, al
registrar su primer tanto en Primera División en un tiro libre que vio
pasar la defensa y el arquero visitante.

Con este resultado, los Xoloitzcuintles llegaron a 10 puntos y se
colocaron en la octava posición general, a falta de completarse el resto
de la jornada.

Ahora el Club Tijuana se enfocará en el regreso a la acción en la COPA
MX-Clausura 2019, en la que enfrentarán al Pachuca CF en el cierre de la
fase de grupos, duelo que definirá a los clasificados a la próxima
Liguilla del certamen copero en el Grupo 1.

Club Tijuana 3-0 Tiburones Rojos LIGA MX Week 7

TIJUANA (Feb. 15, 2019) –Gustavo Bou, Miller Bolaños and Daniel Lopez
scored for Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles in a 3-0 win against visiting
Veracruz Friday night.

What appeared to be heading to a troublesome night turned out to be
Club Tijuana’s highest scoring game of the LIGA MX 2019 Clausura. Coach
Oscar Pareja’s team went on to control the Week 7 match despite losing
starter Fabian Castillo early in the game.

Club Tijuana overcame Castillo’s injury and went on to the convincing
win against the still winless Tiburones Rojos.

Gustavo Bou (10th minute), Miller Bolaños (17th) and Daniel Lopez
(stoppage) scored for Pareja’s team against a Veracruz squad that
finished with 10-men. Edson Garcia was shown a red card for a handball
as he stopped an Ariel Nahuelpan shot near the goal line. Bou converted
the penalty kick for the 1-0 lead. Club Tijuana would not look back.
Bolaños added its second goal on a cross from Gustavo from left to
right. Nahuelpan jumped to make an attempt on the cross but it reached
Bolaños instead. The Ecuadorian brought it down and fired a right-footed
shot to finish the play. Lopez, a second-half substitute put in a
rebound off a Veracruz defender seconds before the final whistle.

Club Tijuana goalkeeper Gibran Lajud finished a play that helped keep
his team controlling the game. He blocked a Veracruz penalty kick in the
24th minute. Lajud dove to his left, getting both hands on Cristian
Menendez’ shot.

The Xoloitzcuintles went on to continue pressuring Veracruz, a team
facing relegation to Mexico’s second division, and control possession.
Tijuana has moved up the LIGA MX standings with what is now a three-game
unbeaten streak. The Xolos (3-3-1) have 10 points as it continues to
work to create a chemistry with the handful of player additions earlier
in the season.

Tijuana will now return to Copa MX play Tuesday with its last group
match against Pachuca for a spot in the knockout round. Pareja’s team
will then travel to face Necaxa in a Liga MX Week 8 match Feb. 23.
