CLUB TIJUANA 1–0 CD TOLUCA

Tijuana, Baja California._ El Club Tijuana
superó 1-0 al CD Toluca en el marco de la sexta fecha del Torneo
Clausura 2019 de la Liga MX Femenil, tras el encuentro disputado en el
Estadio Caliente este lunes por la noche.

Tras una intensa primera mitad, el marcador finalizó empatado a cero
tantos.

El gol de la diferencia llegó desde los once pasos, en los botines de
la jugadora Patricia Gutiérrez, quien adelantó al cuadro Xoloitzcuintle
a los 73 minutos de tiempo corrido.

Con una destacada actuación de la guardameta Xoloitzcuintle, Leticia
Olvera, y todo el aparato defensivo, el Club Tijuana preservó el
resultado para sumar tres unidades más en la competencia.

Las Rojinegras llegaron a 7 puntos con esta victoria en el Mictlán.

El próximo cotejo del cuadro femenil fronterizo corresponderá a la
Jornada 7 del Clausura 2019 en contra del Club Cruz Azul, a jugarse el
próximo lunes 11 de Febrero en el Estadio Caliente.

CLUB TIJUANA WOMEN’S TEAM BEATS TOLUCA AT HOME
Xoloitzcuintles 1–0 CD Toluca LIGA MX Femenil 2019 Clausura Week 6

TIJUANA (Feb. 4, 2019) –Patricia Gutierrez converted a penalty kick in
the 73rd minute to help Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles women’s team to a
1-0 win against visiting CD Toluca Monday.

Gutierrez sent in the game winner, beating Toluca goalkeeper Brenda
Rosas with a shot to her left. It was Gutierrez’ first goal of the 2019
Clausura and it was enough for the win in Week 6.

The win gives Club Tijuana three more points in the Group 1 standings.
Coach Gerardo Romo’s team is now 2-3-1 with seven points. It was the
Xoloitzcuintles first home win of the season.

Gutierrez’ penalty kick came after Mariana Munguia was taken down in
the area on a sprint. Toluca’s Maria Mauleon fouled Munguia from behind,
prompting he whistle.

Toluca nearly tied the match in the 80th minute when Mariel Roman fired
a shot but it hit off the right post.

Club Tijuana held on to the win after a standout performance by its
defense and backup goalkeeper Leticia Olvera.

The Xoloitzcuintles will now face Cruz Azul in a Week 7 match at home
against Cruz Azul Monday Feb. 11.
